Jan 1980 to 2008 SIEMENS ENERGY AND AUTOMATION – Arlington, TX

Director of Logistics – Postal Division (2000 to 2008)

Implemented and managed daily logistics of plant operations including the development and administration of a $45 million annual budget, the distribution domestically and internationally of mail sorting systems, and the supervision of more than 300 employees including 10 department managers. Planned and coordinated all shipping/delivery schedules ensuring achievement of critical timeframes and quality assurance standards. Managed all facets of logistics and a 300,000 sq. ft. totally automated (SAP) warehouse with a $60 million JIT inventory. Negotiated contracts, rate agreements, and trucking schedules with all Siemens PA carriers both inbound and outbound. Directed 100 field support personnel working in teams to install, test, and implement product nationwide. Oversaw the Warranty Division working extensively with U.S. Postal Service and government contracts to process returned items. Managed all spare part requirements ($25 million annually) and 24/7 on-call hotline from all Siemens PA customers. Managed and directed maintenance personnel for all Siemens PA warehouses and transportation locations.
