Additionally, also instructed patrons on how to use our exercise equipment and properly exercise, and am responsible for cleaning and maintaining that equipment. Was promoted to a trainer position in July 2010 and trained new employees of the policies and software programs. Furthermore, supervised staff in Campus Recreation Facilities when full-time, senior staff are not present. Also solely in charge of the multi million dollar recreation facility as well as all patrons and employees well being.

Worked with mice injected with APP virus (Amyloid Precursor Protein) as well as the E4 protein, both known to contribute to Alzheimer’s disease. Was in charge of daily animal care, including food, water and environmental upkeep; assisted with behavioral testing of Barnes and Morris Water mazes. Also preformed brain extractions on all cohorts of mice as well as coronal slicing and staining for analysis of results.

Worked with fundraising for various health walks and programs throughout the greater Northern Virginia region, and attended open-heart surgeries organized by the AED chapter. Also voted for officers at the end of Spring semesters for the upcoming year.
