In Reliance involved in the erection, pre-commissioning and commissioning and steady state Operations of Refinery and Marine tank farm under Jamnagar Export Refinery Project.

JERP Project / Pre-Commissioning / Commissioning experience:

• Pre-Commissioning, Commissioning & Operation of Refinery and Marine Tank farm. Tank farm having total 85 storage, tanks of all kind of tanks like Floating roof, internal floating, Cone roof, CNG & Spheres.

• Coordination between tank farm and process units like crude units and other refinery intermediate units commissioning to ensure smooth feed to the process units.

• Commissioning of Custody Transfer of Metering stations, Gas chromatographs and Moisture analyzers, Hydro carbon analyzers.

• Involved in Engineering audits, HAZOP studies and erection activities of Refinery tank farm.

• Planning and execution of various pre-commissioning activities like pigging, cardboard blasting and flushing.

• Preparation of commissioning procedures and SOP’s for various equipments and commissioning of tank farm.

• Pre-commissioning Activities

I. PFD and P&ID review and sign off.

II. Data sheets review for equipments and instruments.

III. Review of operating manual and standard operating procedures.

IV. Pre-start up safety review.

V. Equipment inspection.

VI. Hydrotest & Flushing loop preparations.

• Commissioning Activities

I. Preparation of start-up reference document.

II. Prepared logistics for feed intake and product routing.

III. Involved in Shell audits for HSE.

IV. Prepared field change orders for reliable operation of plant.

V. Involved Process Safety Management (HAZOP & PHA) studies.

• Decommissioning and Commissioning of Hot service systems (i.e. Cone, Floating roof Tanks, Pumps, equipments) like Vacuum Residue, Vacuum Gas Oil & Slop.

• Decommissioning and Commissioning of Pressurized service systems (i.e. Spheres, Pumps, equipments) like LPG, Propane, Propylene and Iso-Butane for M&I activities as per standards.

Present roles and responsibilities:

• Handling independent shift operations as Shift Engineer.

• Coordination between tank farm and process units like crude units and other refinery intermediate units to ensure smooth feed to the process units.

• Start up and shut down of unit feed pumps like crude, LPG, Propylene and other intermediate pumps with no interruption to units.

• Planning: Effective planning of daily activities, Equipment maintenance and plant shut downs by optimizing resources and minimizing the plant down time.

• Handover and take over of Centrifugal pumps i.e. Crude unit Feed pumps, Finished Products Gasoline, Diesel, Fuel Oil Marine Jetty Loading Pumps and other equipments for maintenance ensuring adherence to standards.

• Compliance with Permit to Work system and HSEF Standards and Procedures.

• Working on SAP for Material management and Plant maintenance functions. (Includes procurement of various additives, various equipments / materials as per plant requirement, stock management, E permit system etc...)

• Familiar with Proactive F&G Safety systems of Gas Sensors, Fire detectors, Fire fighting systems of Deluge valves etc.

• Monitoring and operating Pumps, Control Valves, LPG driers and related equipment safely and efficiently as per Standards and Procedures.

• Supporting Production managers in routine, trouble shooting jobs and any other jobs as per requirement.

• Controlling of various products (Gasoline, Diesel, Naphtha & Fuel oil) blending through Blending optimization and supervisory system (BOSS) and Digital blender (DB).

• Oil accounting of Refinery tank farm; involves the inventory, intermediate receipts and products dispatch calculation.

• Inventory Management: Tracking of chemical consumption and identify the Reorder level requirements.

• Planning and scheduling of M&I activities and modifications jobs.

• Preparation of various MIS reports, annual plans and monitoring plant performance.

• Annual revenue budget preparation for steady state operations, new facilities and modifications and taking necessary approvals from top management.

• Supporting Production managers in routine, trouble shooting jobs and any other jobs as per requirement.

• Coordinating with Accounts / Commercial / Material management center / Yield accounting / Purchase / Laboratory departments for various activities.

• Training and manpower management of field operators and Contractors.

• Active member of Process safety management elements in HAZOP & PHA studies and ERCP (Emergency response and control Procedure) Team.

• Working experience of Distributed Control System (DCS) and effective control of process and safe handling of the plant.

• Working experience of TIS (Tank inventory system), OMIS (Oil movement and information system) & BOSS (Blending optimization and supervisory system) software, which are being used in our plant in Reliance for Blending and movement of Hydrocarbon.

Educational Qualifications:

Bachelor of Technology in Chemical engineering with 69 % from Bapatla Engineering College (Acharya Nagarjuna University), Guntur in 2006.

• Fire Fighting and First Aider training - CPR, Rescue team and Ambulance code
