Designed portable coordinate measurement machines (CMM) and Laser Line Scanners used for part inspection and reverse engineering. Designed production fixtures. Design and analysis was done using SolidWorks 2009 and ANSYS Workbench. The part designs included precision machined parts, die castings, injection moldings, carbon fiber composites, sheet metal and custom springs and bearing housings.
Key projects and achievements:
> Mechanical design and support of LLP V3 - Laser Line Scanner.
> Designed new Smart Probe, machined springs, covers & fixtures for Quantum arm.

Part designs included many extruded, injection molded, sheet metal, die castings and machined parts. Utilized Solidworks & Cosmos software for product designs. I was the only mechanical engineer and I was in charge of overseeing all product support activities.

> Devised a floating lead-screw coupling concept to resolve a major field issue.
