Responsibilities include expediting materials, equipment, and supplier data to ensure client satisfaction and project requirements; coordinate resolution of technical issues and deviation requests; expedite submittal of supplier schedules, review to anticipate any problem areas, and advise the project team accordingly; interface with the inspection coordinator to ensure inspections are held in a timely manner; update JMMS with revised ship dates and input any comments relevant to the order; issue shipping releases upon notification of readiness to ship from supplier/release of order by Inspection; verify and sign off invoices for milestone payments associated with receipt of supplier data, major materials, and shipment; work with cost to insure the monthly milestone payments are received by expediting invoices and maintaining a milestone schedule in order to keep the cash flow on schedule.
Expediting Supervisor, PA-23, PA-24 Project, MEMC Inc, Pasadena, Texas. Oversee Expediting/Inspection/Logistics personnel relating to the MEMC Project. Responsibilities included creating budgets, interviewing potential employees, training lower level expeditors, and developing and implementing the expediting process. Other responsibilities included expediting of equipment and supplier data to ensure project schedules were held in tack, and coordinated resolution of technical issues, expedited supplier schedules for review to determine any possible schedule impacts, and coordinated inspection process for each assignment; verified all material status reports were updated on a weekly basis and submitted to the project management; approved all invoices by verifying each milestone had been met by using the inspection group for visual confirmation or documentation received from the suppliers; traveled to suppliers shop for pre-inspection meetings and/or expedite supplier for data or to improve schedules
