Subject: CAMERA INSPECTION Training.
To detect and views the defects location in the weldment root bead of the CRA materials by using the remote camera place inside of the pipeline, to distinguish the difference between the actual weld on the root beads appearance in the monitor. Interpreting the defects as appears in the radiographic film and makes a decision regarding appearance and quality finish of the root bead.

A progressive career which has provided with a working experience of Q.C inspection and Quality Assurance services in the Marine, Oil & Gas industries e.g. Marine modules, Steam Boiler ,Pressure Vessel, Petrochemical / Oil Refinery / Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO) construction and conversion projects for the past 10 years. Besides in Malaysia, I have worked extensively in several projects in Singapore.
Initially trained as a Site Supervisor and subsequently progressing through experience and dedication to take up position as a Quality Assurance personnel.
Responsibilities have encompassed all aspects of quality control work, including co-ordination; monitoring construction practices implementation specifications and interaction with Clients / Certification Body Inspector / Production Management.
Through past experiences has cultivated strong skills of communication and problem solving including importantly adhering and monitoring to the safety aspect on the job.

Main areas of responsibility include inspection and supervision of project fabrication / construction activities: ~
Construction of the Modules and the Jacket, and the Furnace & Pressure Vessel. Construction and conversion jobs of FPSO and Jack up Rigs.
New construction and shutdown maintenance of Petrochemical plant & Oil refineries including at offshore platforms. Materials inspections. Responsibilities: To check dimension and cleanness and witness the casting of “Chockfast Red” grouting on the equipment foundation. Inspecting various types of valves install on the pipes are followed with the bills of materials. Inspection and surveillance of the piping erection and witness the hydro test of the difference types of storage tanks. Check and surveillance randomly on the pipes colour coding are complies with the client specification and visually inspected/check the weldments according to the WPS and ITP. The reference documents used are followed Exxon Mobil GP, GII and RIS. Reviewing the RT films, randomly witness NDT technicians to carry out LPT, MPI and PMI at sites. Reviewing the test packages are properly compiled and witness the hydro test. Randomly check insulation materials used for installation on the hot piping and equipments. . At the MEG Project, additions work is to surveillance the erection of tanks from bottom plate until tank completion, including witness oil test and hydro test and finally painting. Another major activity is the application of the Tight Build and Clean Build on the Shell MEG project. The first of it types to implement in Singapore oil & gas industries.

Endorsed all the qualified WPS. Witness welders qualification test and approved welders certificates. Verified the materials for fabrication and reviewing mill certificates and welding consumables. Reviewing the reports on traceability of materials and inspection in the primary structure, Visual inspection of weld preparation, welding, alignment, material marking etc. Random check the dimension control reports. Reviewed NDE documentation and reports. Review load cells calibration certs, witness the prototype test, production test and lifting tests as stated in the general arrangement drawing. Reviewing report from final inspection. Issue inspection release note for the products to ship out when manufacturing inspection are found satisfaction. Signed off the product by issue “Certificate for Offshore Container” or “Certificate of Conformity”. Ensuring the society’s emblem for offshore containers will be affixed to the containers and the certificates number will be hard stamped into the corner frame. All the offshore containers certified to DNV’s Standard for Certification 2.7-1 and cable reels certified to DNV’s Standard for Certification 2.7-3.

Coordination of the radiography work requirement for the relevant task and reviewed the interpretation of the RT films. Witness the LPT, PWHT and the hardness test are done according the respective specifications Punch out and clear all the incomplete construction activities. Witness the hydro test, pneumatic test, water flushing, air blow, reinstatement and the like to ensure compliance with the company specification and the relevant standards. Follow up the corrective action proposals to close the NCRs. The project are completed as per scheduled without any major loss time incidents.

Every piece of the base metals are well attached and properly protected by a layer of synthetic rubber .Carried out the visual inspection at the stringent requirement. Witness the leak test by the water, ensuring that no soil debris (soluble or solid) containing radioactive materials are leaking during the transportation on the way to the remote areas. Every personnel are required to check by the radioactive sensitive meter in order not to carry out any radioactive materials away from the site.

Responsibilities: Seconded to Jurong Shipyard Ltd. initially as a steel structure inspector and was later entrusted to carry out the inspections of the piping fabrications and erections.
Duties as the steel structure inspector included from material verification and inspection right up to the inspection on the structural of the hull, primary and secondary structure of main decks. Verification works on the Change Construction Notice issued on the ship hull and the main decks structures.
In the piping discipline, besides daily liaising with the clients’ and subcontractor inspector, inspections of fit-up and final visual inspection of the completed weldments. Monitoring and surveillances of piping works as to conformity with the WPS requirements. Part of the job duties also included reviews of the test packages, line check, pressure test, flushing and line reinstatements for the equipment package and common pipe rack piping.
