Led investment groups to form de novo bank charters in Tulsa, OK, Norman, OK and Moore, OK. Responsible for all aspects of obtaining banking charters and FDIC insurance. This included preparation of FDIC Interagency Applications including pro forma balance sheets and income statements, business plans, market study, marketing plans, CRA analysis, capital fund raising, etc. Presented monthly financial statements, budgets, cash flow statements and capital plans to investment groups. Chaired all meetings with investors. Actively solicited potential bank stock investors in both metro markets. This included cold calls and referral follow-ups. On a periodic basis, met with state Banking Commissioner and FDIC Deputy Director (Dallas) and their respective staffs to present charter applications and solicit input regarding charter application status.

Served as CEO, President and Chief Lending Officer of a $35 million community bank. Bank was engaged in residential and commercial real estate loans; commercial business loans; and consumer loans. Bank also offered all forms of deposit products and services including credit cards, IRAs, CDs, demand deposits, time deposits, ATM, etc. Prepared market study to recommend opening of branch in OKC metro area. This was approved by Board and regulatory agencies. Served and chaired monthly Board of Directors meetings. Also chaired annual shareholders meetings. Bank was ranked 15th in overall performance in 2005 for institutions of less than $100 million in assets by American Bankers Association Banking Journal (July 2005). Bank was listed as one of the Top 20 Best Performing Community Banks in the US for institutions under $50 million in assets (Independent Banker – June 2005).

Served as Regional Vice President and Lending Manager for Oklahoma, Missouri and northern Texas. Reported to Senior Lending Manager located at home office in Omaha, NE. Oversaw lending and loan administrative activities of branch offices in originating single family and commercial real estate loans. Loan types included single family construction and commercial real estate construction and long-term mortgages. Traveled extensively over 3-state area. Supervised a staff of 18 lenders and administrators.
