Project Engineer - CLA Engineers, San Jose, CA (January 2002 to Present)
Henry Mo spent over 7 years at CLA Engineers performing structural design as a Senior Engineer. His main clients were Architects and Developers. The following is a list of relevant job skills:
Familiar with structural elements failure mode, experienced in element design with load combination such as shear walls, diaphragms, 1-way/2-way slabs, beams, columns, retaining wall, pier and grade beam and MAT foundation.

Selected of lateral-force-resisting system, framing system, foundation system based on the architecture layout and soil site conditions.
Determined the lateral force including seismic and wind loads based on ASCE 7-02/05.

Seismic evaluation of existing buildings based on ASCE 31 & FEMA 356, seismic retrofit and strengthening of existing building based on ASCE 41.

Design Engineer – Ove ARUP & Partners, Shenzhen, China (July 2000 to January 2002)
Mr. Mo spent 1-1/2 years performing the design of reinforced concrete high-rise buildings in the Hong Kong area after his Master’s degree by using software tools such as SAFE, ETABS, SAP and GSA. I participated in diverse projects covering commercial, government and residential buildings.

Mr. Mo spent 2 years as a junior design engineer on Projects relating to reinforced concrete commercial high-rise buildings to masonry low-rise residential buildings in China after obtaining his Bachelor’s degree.
