SELECTED ACCOMPLISHMENTS
Secured additional $120K in annual business for Vega Tool through persistence and rapid response. Created opportunity to demonstrate Vega product superiority despite customer delays and digressions. Secured an unscheduled onsite product test that quickly won orders for virtually all the tooling used by manufacturing customer.
Expanded revenue 30%, increased net profit from 13% to 25%, and doubled TriCo territory customer base. Inherited underperforming territory. Sales had come from an unchanging core of customers, all very similar in size and all buying a limited product assortment. Through aggressive prospecting, added territory’s first new customers in two years. Reactivated dormant accounts and broadened variety of products promoted and sold.
Forged customer loyalty and maintained spending levels through intensive customer service. Important customer had received incorrect and unusable lubricant from distributor. As independent contractor, bypassed red tape of working through normal but slow channels. Personally acquired and delivered proper product, eliminating risk of customer shutting down production and earning $21K in additional business from expanded product sales.
Seized narrow window of opportunity to win business away from competitor for Paragon Supply. Customer had expressed intention to use competitor’s tooling. Learned of customer’s sudden urgent request late Friday afternoon for Paragon to supply tool for testing when it was discovered competitor could not deliver for a week. Delivered tool 8:30 Monday morning. Secured long-term five-figure revenue boost from customer as a direct result.
Responded rapidly to evolving customer needs at Paragon, resulting in $150K annual revenue increase. Upon joining the company, uncovered customer’s dissatisfaction with pricing and performance of tool supplied by Paragon. Formed working partnership in aggressively searching for and providing improved product that increased production speed 10% at 30% less cost.
