CAREER HISTORY
CONSULTANT (Self-employed) 2009 - Present
Consulted on a 900 room renovation of a hotel in Las Vegas. My reponsi ilities includes supplier selection, bidding process, and contract negotiations. The renovation consisted of casegoods, softgoods, carpeting, draperies, bathroom floor tile and vanity countertops. Overall spend was 5.7 million dollars, savings was 1.3 million dollars.
WYNDHAM VACATION OWNERSHIP (formerly Cendant Corp.)
World’s largest timeshare development organization with over 184 resorts throughout the US, Canada, and the Caribbean. Wyndham Vacation Ownership consists of two distinct brands, Wyndham Vacation Resorts (formerly Fairfield Resorts), and WorldMark by Wyndham (formerly Trendwest Resorts).
Director, Strategic Alliances (Resort Development Dept) 2005 – 2009
Newly created position to focus on construction related items to create cost savings/containment in the construction of new resorts and renovation of existing properties.
• Drafted, negotiated and administer national contracts in 33 categories that our contractors and sub-contractors can purchase products and services. (12-15% overall saving per year).
• Researched and analyzed hundreds of through use of RFI’s, RFP’s/RFQ’s and TCO (Total Cost of Ownership) hundreds of supplier and made final recommendation of both suppliers and products for use in new projects
• Each unique contract created a strategic partnership between the developer and supplier that standardized products and fixed pricing for a period of one to three years depending on product category (12-15% overall saving).
• Created, developed, implemented, and maintained the Strategic Supplier Alliance Program which utilized our supplier products as the basis of design in all of our plans and specifications creating a win-win scenario for both Wyndham and the suppliers.
• Partnered with field account executives for Wyndham and contractors to resolve conflicts and or provide clarity with regards to the agreed upon contracts pricing, terms and conditions and sevice levels to ensure the projects continued on schedule and budget.
Director, Vendor Relations and Installation (Resort Development Dept) 2003 – 2005
Position created during the implementation of a new FF&E (custom and stock) & OS&E Purchasing Department.
• Responsible to staff new department with 3 buyers and 1 administrative assistant.
• Drafted, negotiated and administered national contracts with fixed pricing for FF&E & OS&E products (18% cost savings per year).
• Drafted, negotiated and administered national contracts for logistics, warehousing and installation of FF&E for all new resorts (20% overall savings per year).
• Utilized Reverse e-auctions to achieve lower cost for common products
• Oversight of and managed installation and coordination of new installations – final punch list and signoff to Resort Management.
• Responsible for the installation of over 2800 units in one year – (~40% increase over previous years).

Owned, RCI, Fairfield Resorts, Trendwest Resorts, Orbits, Cendant; Mortgage, Fleet Leasing and Relocation companies.
Director, Brand Purchasing ( Cendant Supplier Services) 1998 - 2003
• Drafted, negotiated and administer all national contracts for the Approved Supplier Program for 8 hotel brands, for FF&E, OS&E and MRO; 3 real estate brands for OS&E; 2 timeshare brands for FF&E, OS&E and MRO:; and a tax preparation brand for FF&E and OS&E. These programs generated over $100M of sales to our franchise communities through the Approved Supplier Program.
• Accountable for the Supplier Direct Program for each business unit that generated $3.4M in commissions/rebates to the corporation.
• Directed the Brand Identification Department which increased participation by franchisees purchases to approve sign suppliers for the hotel brands from 60% to 84% - department generated $500,000 in commissions/rebates and fees. (Staff of 1 Direct report and 4 indirect reports)
• Day-to-day interface with brand operations, quality assurance, sales and marketing. Worked with cross-functional teams within each industry brand.
• Managed the Supplier Diversity Program, resulting in greater partnerships with minority suppliers.
• Designed, developed and implemented the online catalog for both hotel and real state brands.
• Reviewed and planned marketing campaigns with each supplier and approved content of all marketing material to franchisees for lodging, real estate and tax prep brands to insure contract compliance
