Led all phases of the hybrid electric chassis assembly process launch., including project tracking, plant set up, staffing and new product launch coordination. Built all pre-production chassis for Fedex on schedule. Initiated full QS level documentation of all process documents to support the high level of safety and training required to handle 288 volts of DC electricity in an assembly environment. Implemented and maintained programs developed to support 6 sigma initiatives within Utilimaster utilizing the DMAIC process. Managed the Materials Group and all ERP system data integrity for Utilimaster.

Business Unit Manager, Elkhart, IN 2000 – 2004

Supervised all manufacturing and operations for Creation Windows Plants 1 and 3 and Warehouse, including a staff of 300 non-union hourly and management personnel producing $42 million in automotive window systems annually. Managed corporate purchasing for 4 plants and experience in J. D. Edwards enterprise software.

• Integrated scheduling, order entry, and shipping between two plants, saving $100,000.

• Led team in MRP and Forecasting implementation in J. D. Edwards Materials Requirement Planning and Forecasting Modules used established Project Management principles.

• Directed strategic sourcing of components offshore, resulting in savings of $400,000.

Plant Manager, Lagrange IN 1997 - 2000

Managed all phases of plant operations for $65 million in sales of window systems to the heavy truck, recreational vehicle, and mass transit industries, including 480 UAW hourly employees and office personnel.

Processes include both robotic and manual high and low volume assemblies, with fabrication areas for aluminum processing and welding. Plant sales increase from $12 million in 1993 to $70 million in 1997.
