Recently in the role as Chief Operating Officer for SaRonix, a multi-national high technology manufacturing firm based in Silicon Valley with operations in Europe, Asia, the Far East and the United States.
· During the recent business downturn in the telecom market, I directed the strengthening of market position with key customer accounts, including the largest OEM’s and CEM’s in the market. We achieved preferred or strategic supplier status at each of our top ten customers by realignment of functional sales channels and reporting relationships.
· Right-sized the company to improve/reduce operating expenses. Increased outsourcing efforts in China and closed one European operation.
· Played a significant role in the successful M & A effort for SaRonix.

Core business is the design, development, sales and marketing of LMDS style point to point and point to multipoint millimeter wave digital radios. The business plan projects Galleon as the last mile enabler to future Wireless Competitive Local Exchange Carriers (WCLECs) to offer a broader range of services, including High Speed Internet Access, Telecommute LANs, IP Telephony, e-Commerce, Video, Voice and Data at much more competitive prices than possible today.

Responsible for general management of startup company. Obtained initial angel financing, and lead the team in establishing the company as a California corporation. Accepted into Garage.com as one of the first 25 startups out of 3,000 business plans submitted. Recruited the management team, focused on the communications industry and lead the filing of two
conceptual patents as technical differentiators. Attracted two Board members who are heavy weights in the telecommunications industry as well as the attorneys (including patent attorneys) who also have been willing to put in the time required in advance of receiving compensation. Selected the leading startup bank relationship to assist as we grew. Envisioned the company name and then developed our web site. Arranged offshore manufacturing partners.

• Implemented Cellular Manufacturing while installing pull mechanisms (Kanbans and Breadman) in a computer drive manufacturing company resulting in increased through-put of 52%, reduced direct labor cost by 21% and improved first pass quality yields by 42%. This was performed while growing the business by approximately 50% per quarter and substantially contributing to corporate profitability.
• Utilized Supply Chain Management practices to substantially reduce cost and capital investment by establishing outsourced sub-contract/turn-key strategic supply relationships while taking an electronic division from start-up to $170 million in approximately 18 months.
