• This is a medical device company. I worked there as an inspector for incoming material in a temporary position. There I became familiar with the IFS and Cats web data bases. Documented discrepancies in both material and documentation. Elevated these conditions to the appropriate engineers or buyers. Maintained Quality History Records for traceability of material used. Logged acceptable material into the system for release to manufacturing. These inspections were performed using calibrated precision hand tools or optical systems. The requirements were specified in the quality History Records / drawings. Performed measurements with pin gauges, outside micrometers, height gauges, calipers, surface gauges, thread gauges and scales.

• While with Home Depot I was specialist in Millworks. Where I was trained to help customers with windows, doors and molding. I was cross trained to work in Lumber, Building materials, as a cashier and I worked at the service desk. At the service desk I helped customers with refunds, returns, incoming orders, and information.

Nuclear Mechanical Systems Inspector (Receipt Inspection)
05/2001 to 01/2007 Norfolk Naval Shipyard, Portsmouth Virginia
Performed inspections of incoming material for use in Naval Nuclear Propulsion Plants and related systems. These inspections were performed to the standards established by Nuclear Power Manuals, standard shop practices and referenced drawings or sketches.
The inspections were varied requiring micrometers (inside, outside, and depth mics), optical comparators, bore scopes, surface gauges, scales, and acromag, thread gauges, digital and dial calipers. Also acid spot testing and X-ray analyzer ( x-ray fluorescence ) was used to determine the generic identity of samples
Writing deficiency reports to be placed in the material records. Communicating to supervisor and engineers the findings of inspections verbally and written reports
Attained requalification bonus. ( Reported findings were 100% accurate)
