Senior Project Buyer, Maverick Engineering --- 2007 to 2008
Responsible for the sourcing and purchasing for all major expansion projects and any project related materials and services. Interfaces with clients and management on a regular basis and also supports the engineering staff as needed. Provide material procurement support to Transmission and Technical Services. Negotiates /purchases materials & equipment to meet project schedules & company specifications. Solicits bids and analyzes supplier quotations for materials in an effort to obtain the best price and delivery. Site Manager, Cape Environmental Inc. Iraq — 2006 - 2007
Served as Project Manager for two projects in Basrah, Iraq. Each project exceeds $40 million (usd) and consists of new construction of Division level military bases for the United States Department of Defense. Additionally, managed a third project in Baghdad, Iraq, that had an operating budget of $38 million dollars (usd) and consists of design and build Iraqi Military bases for the United States Department of Defense. Operations Manager, Kellogg Brown & Root (KBR) — 2006
Director of all operations for the KBR engineering and life support task order funded with a $238 million dollar (usd)/year operating budget. This position has ultimate authority on all matters concerning day-to-day management for the support of the United States Military, the U. S. Department of State, Other Government Agencies (OGA), and civilians relative to the mission requirements throughout the country of Iraq. All reporting activities internal, external, and sensitive, were administered through my department. This position provides staffing oversight for 985 ex-pat and 2500 local national employees. Areas of responsibility for this position were all procurement activities, engineering, health and safety, logistics, life support, as well as the security of all assets and personnel throughout the area of operations. I have received numerous awards and recognitions for exemplary service toward the mission. This position required a “Secret” clearance from the United States Government. Acted as the liaison between all parties meeting regularly with persons at the highest levels of the Multi National Forces, US Military, US Dept. of State, as well as the leadership within Kellogg Brown and Root.
Site Manager, KBR/Halliburton — 2004 - 2005
Responsible for all operations, heath and safety, environmental, human resources, maintenance, all procurement activities, materials control, warehousing, all construction, property management, information technology, and service to internal customers as well as the prime external customer: United States Department of State. Area of responsibility consisted of engineering and life support for the U.S. Embassies in Kirkuk and Mosul Iraq. I served as the face of KBR/Halliburton to the United States Embassy and serviced this customer’s very demanding needs in a fashion that exceeded their expectations. Each of these projects consisted with an annual operating budget of $30 million USD.
District Sales Manager, Airborne Express International — 2000-2003
Top executive in a four state area responsible for all sales and operational activities. Served as Sales Manager for team responsible to grow the business in the areas of domestic shipping, international express, international freight forwarding consisting of both ocean and air movements. Worked from the ground up and managed every operational environment within the world’s largest transportation and logistics Company. I managed multiple facilities that had the responsibility of service to tens of thousands of customers on a daily basis.
