General Manager, East Golf Club, New Albany, OH/Tanglewood Country Club, Chagrin Falls, OH/Blackberry Patch Golf Course, Coldwater, MI

• Completely revitalized these golf courses within two months of acquisition of properties.

• Point of Contact for media, the public, area businesses, banks and corporate headquarters.

• Manage expenses, minimize costs and establish new accounts and lease agreements.

• Recruit and train clubhouse personnel, oversee clubhouse maintenance.

• Draft sales reports, manage accounting practices and doubled rounds of golf compared to previous year.

• Directed all marketing and advertising and eventually sold Tanglewood and Blackberry Patch to new owners.

• Opened East Golf Club for business in 2007. Transferred to Tanglewood C. C. in 2008. Our company was hired by Huntington Bank to manage Tanglewood after it went into receivership and prepare it for sale. After successfully selling this golf course to a new owner, I was transferred to Coldwater to perform the same duties on another receivership with Mutual Bank. Pro Manager – Salary $40,000

• Responsible for operations of Food & Beverage and Golf departments, including personnel, meetings, tournament operations, fee structure, capital improvements, sales & marketing, merchandising, customer service and administration.

• Recruited, trained and supervised staff.

• Decreased Pro Shop and labor costs by 7%, increased F&B department revenue by 15% and slashed general expenditures by 25%.

• Created new marketing campaigns, established relationships with local hotels to promote golf course.

• Instituted instructional junior golf program for over 100 children and introduced over 40 players per month to game.



Salary - $48,000 General Manager for Walden Ponds Golf Club directing operations, sales, marketing, business development, golf instructional services, vendor contracts, corporate documentation and reporting, tournaments and staff supervision for this $7MM facility. Also improved Pro Shop revenue by 15%, prebooked $600,000 in corporate reservations, increased outing rounds from 2,500 to 6,300, supported



Marketing Director in efforts to add 25% to memberships and sales eliminated $25,000 in expenses and launched successful Ladies and juniors golf instructional program. I was then promoted to Consultant with Shaker Golf Corporation and transferred to Blackhawk Golf Club in Austin, Texas to assist General Manager in increasing rounds and revenues.

Salary - $48,000 General Manager for Bent Tree Golf Club overseeing sales, marketing, business development, instructional services, budgeting, fee structures, F&B, course maintenance, vendor contracts, reporting and personnel for this $2MM course. Prebooked $700,000 in revenue, created new marketing program, renegotiated Pepsi F&B contract to save over $25,000, organized Junior Golf program with 75 students and Ladies Professional Futures Golf Event, achieved over $350,000 in Pro Shop sales and generated best-ever monthly sales of $484,000 in August 1996.

Assistant Golf Professional at the Lakes Golf and Country Club. This private 18 hole club located in Westerville, Ohio is host to the US Open Sectional Qualifier every year. Assistant Golf Professional at Whiteford Valley Golf Club in Ottawa Lake, Michigan. This 36 hole public course generated over

70, 000 total rounds and 30,000 league rounds per year.
