Professional Experience

Jan 12 – Present - Project Architect/ Job Captain - Managing a retail studio that concentrates on producing Tenant Improvement drawings for a fast track women’s retail (Giant National Chain) clothing store. I am working under the direct supervision of my Senior Vice President of the company to streamline the process, increase quality, efficiency of the projects and to gain positive relationship with the client. Managing a team of 4 members and responsible for meeting project deadlines, tracking the project schedule with client, construction team, and document the project status. Meet with internal team members on regular basis to check on workload and assign appropriate task to team members for different projects. Worked closely with other project managers to implement new procedures to make work environment more productive and efficient. Responsible for creating uniformity for each project and the firm.

Overview: Hired during busy time of the year and quickly came up to speed with very little guidance. Promoted into leadership role during challenging period of management change and current changing economic climate. Successfully raised team morale and handled increased workload with fewer staff. Received lot of appreciations from all the clients I worked with the current employer. Jan 11 - Dec 11- Job Captain - Managed Old Navy account with 6 member team. Acted as a primary contact for clients on a variety of tenant improvement and retail projects all over the US. Responsible for overseeing that all necessary appropriate tasks are completed for projects and subsequent information is reported. Involved in pre-billing, billing, and monthly projections, writing RFP to clients based on the requirement and per MSA. Responsible for tracking changes on projects and writing add service proposals to clients. Involved in internal project specific administration/accounting work. Conducted client meetings, prepared presentation drawings, and construction documents. Consistently achieved on-time project completion through effective planning and organization. Ensured highest levels of design and drawing quality. Managed project from inception to its completion, handled Construction Administration, zoning applications, building code reviews. Participated in a Design Competition with a team of people and won the project for company.
