WORK HISTORY:
April 2010 to Present Senior Industrial Hygienist/ Safety and Project Safety and Health Officer, CSC Hanford Occupational Health Services/MCE/MACTEC – Provide technical oversight of various site-wide programs (Beryllium, respiratory protection, hearing conservation, ergonomics, industrial hygiene sampling and monitoring, etc.). Prepare reports and correspondence; review laboratory analysis, provide consultations to occupational health providers. Recommend: sampling/monitoring to include medical surveillance and engineering/administrative controls. Performed accident investigations, root cause analysis and oversight of site-wide industrial hygiene program elements (hearing conservation, vision conservation, confined space monitoring, and chemical exposure monitoring and analysis). Fire and emergency response for various projects.
March 2009 to March 2010 Safety Supervisor - CSA LTD – Duties and responsibilities include: Conducting safety inspections, surveys and audits. Perform IH studies to include hearing conservation, heat stress, confined space, IAQ, chemical hygiene, laboratory safety, respiratory protection, and radiation audits. Provide oversight of JHAs process, root cause analysis, review JHAs documentation for existing positions and prepare JHAs for new operations. October 2004 to February 2007 US Army Medical Department – Recalled to Active Duty - CBRNE and Senior Industrial Hygiene Project Officer. Performed duties and responsibilities as the command (world-wide) senior CBRNE office. Chaired the CBRNE committee and prepared program documents. While serving in the Senior Industrial Hygiene Project Officer position developed a proposal to determine if current established safe operating practices, oversee physical security for command, engineering controls were providing adequate protection for healthcare workers handling, preparing and administrating cytotoxic drugs. I prepared a successful research proposal, several briefing presentations, a statement of work, two contract proposals, a project quality assurance plan, a sampling and analysis strategy document and a final research paper.
September 2003 to September 2004 Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Quality and Environmental Trainer - CSA - Camp Doha and Camp Arifjan. Developed and provided classroom training for military and civilian contractors to meet regulatory guidance. Perform audits/evaluations to determine training requirements. Oversight responsibilities for tank farm construction projects and ESHQ programs to include behavior based program implementation and monitoring.
