Objective

To obtain a position as a recreational specialist, with responsibilities that effectively utilizes my communication, organizational, multitasking, and leadership skills.

Summary of Qualifications

Highly motivated individual that loves to work and share ideas with others. I also have over 4 years of experience in the field, and also willing to learn new things. Utilizes leadership, communication and role model skills well.

Professional Experience

• June, July, 2010-2011, Mt. Olive Outreach program, Counselor. Duties were to monitor and oversea the participants of the program. I also would have to plan the daily agenda for the participants of the program, things like planning games and events. Duties will also pertain to me having to deal with certain situations that come with the job, like helping to motivate the participants.

• Attended the GHAPHERD workshop 2011. One week workshop in Savanna, Ga, learning new and creative ideas for the Recreation and Physical Education field.

• May, June, July, 2008-2009, N.Y.S.P. (national,youth,sports,program), Team Leader (counselor). Duties included working with “at risk” students school wide. Helping to motivated them in class by using sports and leadership skills. Assisting teachers with the unmotivated students, by encouraging them and when necessary contacting someone for the proper assistance. I served as role model and leader of a group of unmotivated teens ranging from the ages of (11 to 18).I would also help with creating games and other interesting ideas.

• December, 2007-January, 2008 Albany State (Paralympics camp), Assistant. Duties included working in a small group and collaborative setting with students with disabilities. I would assist the participants in different events.

• May 2004- Aug. 2007 Gym assistant at the Caver Ranches Boys and Girls club of Broward County. Supervisor and Athletic Director Benjamin Gilbert and Rose Brown.
