• Built a research department for TriMont asset managers and clients to enhance their market knowledge and provide supporting data to be used in their decision making processes.

• Developed a virtual library, the Market Resource Center, accessible via the Internet to both TriMont employees and clients. The Market Resource Center contains documents related to commercial real estate and economics on global, national, and local levels.

• Headed one of two field research operations within an 18-person research department located in Dallas.

• Responsible for macroeconomic and commercial property analysis for eight southeastern states. Clients were primarily AMRESCO lines of business including Holliday Fenoglio, Holliday Fenoglio Investment Sales, and AMRESCO Capital.

Univest Financial Services, Real Estate Advisory Group

03/97 – 10/98, Consultant, Atlanta, Georgia

• Hired for Univest’s new Real Estate Advisory Services Group which was developed to add real estate expertise to Univest’s financially oriented scope of services.

• Set up a library containing research materials for the group and assisted in designing a sale and lease comps database.

• Participated in the re-underwriting of commercial loans for rating agencies, as well as, the writing and review of asset summaries for commercial loan portfolios. Reviewed independent site inspections for a variety of property types.

• Moved from an administrative position as editor/researcher to a professional position as a commercial real estate appraiser over a three-year period.
