Projects Executed
Title : Network Monitoring tool testing ( in Netscout )
Role : Team Member
Environment : Linux & Windows Platform
Description : This project basically involves testing a telecom network monitoring tool. It involved testing the various interfaces across various nodes of the telecom network and check whether all the protocol information & user information are displayed properly by the tool. Bugs are raised accordingly if any unexpected behaviour found in the tool.
Responsibilities : Handled the following tasks:
– Testing the functionality of the network monitoring tool.
– Raising defects if any unexpected behaviour found.
Title : Node B ISS (Radio regression testing as part of subsystem integration in UMTS Node B Testing ( in Aricent )
Role : Team Member
Environment : Linux Platform
Test Tool : vBBS, DSP tool, MDL, Catapult
Description : This project involves the testing of various features of UMTS Node B, a product of the client. The team worked on the clients site and tested all the Radio related features (Radio & NBAP, including Throughput Testing). UE & RNC are simulators which simulate various test scenarios. The project also involves executing scripts on the both UE side & RNC side, executing test scenarios and observing the results. CRs are raised accordingly if any unexpected behaviour is found either on the Node B side or simulator side.
Responsibilities : Handled the following tasks:
– Conducting manual & automation testing of Radio regression features in the Node B and raising CRs (if any) and maintaining status reports.
– Undertaking throughput testing (both uplink & downlink) in the Node B for different types of bearers.
Achievement : Received Certificate of Appreciation
Title : WiMAX features (Subsystem testing of various WiMAX ASN GW features over R3, R4 & R6 interfaces) ( in Aricent )
Role : Team Member
Environment : Linux Platform
Test Tool : Customised Wireshark, Bugzilla
Description : The project involved performing regression testing of various WiMAX ASN GW features like call control (which involves various scenarios like MS Network Entry, Authentication, DHCP, MIP, Handover (Intra GW & Inter GW), Idle Mode, Location Update, Network Rentry, VOIP call, Paging features), operation & management features. It also involves testing these features (using customized Wireshark too) and raise critical bugs wherever needed via Bugzilla tool. The project also involves Load & Stress testing to check the load and stress capacity of ASN GW during peak hours.
Responsibilities : Handled the following tasks:
– Handling the set up & installation of simualtors & ASN GW product in the lab.
– Modifying scripts for simulating various scenarios and executing them.
– Undertaking regression testing of various ASN GW call control features.
– Conducting Load & Stress testing to check ASN GW load capacity during peak hours; reporting bugs in Bugzilla.
Achievement : Rated as the Best Performer in the project; won Snap Award for the Project Team
Title : UMTS (Simulation of RNC & SGSN) ( in Aricent )
Environment : Linux Platform
Role : Team Member
Description : The project involves simulating SGSN & RNC so that it can be used to test the 3G BS Gateway product. It also involves simulating various message scenarios.
Responsibility : Coded in C++ to simulate SGSN & RNC
Title : Retail FLS (in Verizon)
Environment : Windows Platform
Role : Team Member
Description : The project involved providing first line support to the development team. It also involved installation of kits on pre-prod & prod servers.
Responsibility : Provided first line support to the development team
