National Security Council (NSC), Executive Office of the President (EOP), Washington, D.C. Director of Operations (Previous Roles: White House Advance Associate, Events Coordinator, Special Assistant)

• Currently serving as the Director of Operations for the National Security Council supporting numerous directorates within the NSC that include the following: Directorate for Middle Eastern and North African Affairs (MENA), Directorate for Legislative Affairs (LEG), Directorate for Counterterrorism (CT), Directorate for Defense

• Organized and coordinated press guidance, talking points, social media, blogs, op-eds, fact sheets, background materials, and additional written materials for high-level background calls, speaking engagements, press conferences, and speeches.

• Supported the White House Office of Scheduling and Advance as a member of the Presidential Advance team in coordinating Presidential travel and execution of events that included the following: o Interacted with the full range of White House offices, federal agencies, and local, state, and media entities.

o Provided planning assistance, production assistance, and day-of operational support for various Presidential trips and visits around the country; primary focus was airport/motorcade and Air Force One and Marine One arrival and departure logistics. o Coordinated with individuals from other offices in the White House, the Secret Service, the White House Military Office, local law enforcement, other state and local government entities, private commercial partners, other federal agencies and departments, and foreign government counterparts.

o Created detailed briefings with production diagrams, site renderings, movement plans, timelines, and contingencies.

Executive Protection Systems LLC. – U.S. Department of State, Office of the Special Presidential Envoy for Hostage Affairs (SPEHA), Washington, D.C. Senior Executive Assistant & Protocol/Visits Specialist – GS-12 Feb. 2017 – Aug. 2018 Served as the Senior Executive Assistant & Visits Team Lead in conducting various policy, administrative, and official protocol/visits-related tasks for the Special Presidential Envoy for Hostage Affairs (SPEHA), including, but not limited to, the following:

• Managed day-to-day affairs of the office and served as a key liaison person with hostage affairs personnel from both U.S.G. entities as well as foreign governments.

• Coordinated activities and conferences, oversaw domestic and international travel arrangements, and budgeted for conference expenditures and travel.

• Assisted other staff in coordinating the production of information and materials (e.g., written policy guidance, strategy, information and action memoranda, texts of speeches and articles, congressional testimony, talking points, and background information related to particular negotiations or other efforts in resolving problematic interagency or international relationships).

• Ensured timely action by relevant managers and staff on action items received requiring action by the SPEHA; reviewed draft materials and made or suggested changes as appropriate, anticipated questions likely to be raised.

• Acted as a key player in providing support, managerial and analytic, to both the SPEHA and Deputy Envoy for Hostage Affairs.

• Reviewed documents and incoming mail for content in order to assign appropriate action/distribution within the Office of Hostage Affairs.

• Received and made the appropriate disposition of a high volume of incoming requests from officials in and outside the Department for meetings, conferences, speaking engagements, and attendance at major public forums. Coordinated such requests with relevant staff to ensure timely action was taken on all requests.

• Ensured that appropriate material requiring action was brought to the attention of the SPEHA. Likewise ensured that information and guidance emanating from the SPEHA was promptly conveyed to the other staff.

• Alerted the SPEHA to changes in policy or events impacting efforts to resolve international impasses related to how governments respond to terrorism.

• Monitored developing political situations affecting hostage affairs and wrongful/unlawful detention as reported or identified.

• Prioritized tasking requests for memoranda and other information in accordance with directives of the Department’s Executive Secretariat.

• Advised the Office of Hostage Affairs personnel of overdue items, upcoming deadlines, the priority of issues and format of materials required for the Office’s mission in accordance with Department of State Regulations and under appropriate Government supervision.
