Experience
9/2/2014-up to now Al Rashed company Jeddah, Saudi Arabia Job title: Plant Maintenance Manager.
Professional Experience Summary
Responsible for diagnosing and resolving all types of technical issues across the facility, including mechanical, electrical, civil, automation, and safety systems, ensuring smooth and uninterrupted operations.
Preventive Maintenance Leadership:
Developing and implementing an integrated Preventive Maintenance (52 weeks PM) plan covering all key machinery and infrastructure across the facility — including production machines ( mixers, ovens, burners, proofers, coolers, ..),and packaging equipment ( baggers
, slicers, printers, metal detectors, belts, ..), ammonia/glycol chiller systems, boilers, generators, air compressors, and HVAC systems (e.g., 37 AC package units, 8 freezers, 80 window units). For instance, our glycol chiller’s performance improved by 22% after optimizing its PM cycle, directly reducing our energy consumption.
Utilities Management:
Oversaw the daily operation and maintenance of critical utilities such as four Cummins generators, three boilers, two ovens, 250-ton silo storage, a 1000m water wall, diesel and water pump systems, fire protection systems, ice machines, and an 8 MW transformer setup. When one of our main compressors showed signs of inefficiency, I led a cross- 2 of 4
functional troubleshooting team that restored its capacity in under 48 hours without external contractor support — saving the company substantial downtime costs.
Team Leadership & SOP Development:
Ensured staffing coverage across engineering functions, supervising engineers, supervisors, technicians, and helpers. I regularly updated SOPs and delivered refresher training sessions to improve safety, efficiency, and operational consistency. For example, after introducing machine-specific SOPs combined with hands-on refreshers, we reduced avoidable equipment errors by over 30% within three months.
Cross-Functional Coordination:
Participated in daily performance meetings with department managers to review 24- hour production metrics and address deviations. These meetings played a key role in ensuring accountability and alignment across production, maintenance, and QA departments.
International Certification Compliance & Audits: Took a leading role in preparing the documentation and systems necessary for international certifications including ISO 22000, BRC, YUM audit, and SQMS. During our last BRC audit, our maintenance systems scored “Excellent,” thanks to the traceability, equipment logs, and cleanliness standards my team implemented.
ERP & Materials Management:
Proficient in Oracle JD Edwards (ERP) for generating reports, raising PRs, and managing material movement. I set up an internal tracking system to monitor material issuance and stock levels, reducing material shortages by 40%.
Performance Tracking & KPIs:
Maintained detailed records of equipment performance, personnel efficiency, and downtime tracking. I regularly analyzed line efficiency and coordinated solutions to chronic production bottlenecks. A targeted intervention on one underperforming line led to a 15% increase in OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness).
Compliance, Hygiene & 5S:
Committed to GMP and 5S practices, I led regular hygiene inspections and enforced Boecker’s pest control recommendations. My department consistently achieved top scores in internal hygiene audits, and our area served as a model site for GMP during corporate visits.
Project Planning & Budget Management:
Managed end-to-end CAPEX projects, such as waterwater treatment station, Solar energy system and any other small or big projects, including preparing BOQs, SOWs, and comparison sheets. I’ve been responsible for preparing and implementing an annual budget of, aligning every expense with operational priorities.
Building Services Management MEP and Civil works : Managed all operational aspects of a four-story facility, covering HVAC, elevators, lighting, drainage, and pest control. Coordinated preventive and corrective work with internal teams and contractors. Ensured hygiene, emergency readiness, and fire safety compliance with GMP, 5S, and food safety standards.
Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Management: Led HSE systems aligned with OSHA and company policies. Conducted safety audits, risk assessments, and emergency drills, maintaining zero lost-time incidents for two years. Delivered training on hazard control and fire safety. Enforced PPE compliance and implemented a corrective action system for unsafe conditions. 2/12/2010 -1 /2/2014 Al Mahata New Flour Mill Company Amman – Jordan Job Title: Senior Maintenance Engineer.
