My ambition to be a teacher comes from my firm commitment to the provision of children with knowledge, skills, and confidence that will enable them to thrive in an ever-changing world. This passion for teaching always reminds me of how educators shape young minds and inspire future generations, and that motivated me to pursue French education in teaching and learning at the University of Education, Winneba, where I graduated with second-class upper division honors. Every educator has a philosophy of teaching that they believe in, and this is how I built my statement of my teaching philosophy, which states that every learner has the right to an environment that is safe, supportive, and stimulating. In my mind, teachers are those who take full responsibility for their students' performance and behavior, put the first priority on their education, and work collaboratively with parents in the best interest of the learners. I am also excited by the prospect of setting high expectations that inspire, motivate, and challenge my students while creating an environment that is safe and stimulating based on mutual respect. This calls for setting goals that are consistently positive in attitudes and values while taking into consideration the varied backgrounds, abilities, and dispositions of each student. Since every student is valued, he/she needs to be in a setting that is safe, welcoming, and engaging; this forms my teaching philosophy. The main thing that motivates me is the general idea of building a setting where students feel heard, valued, supported to take risks, explore their curiosity, and prosper in their very best way. This, perhaps, provides an opportunity for making a meaningful, lifelong, positive impact on my students' lives—a driving factor behind my passion for teaching. Also, what excites me in the teaching fraternity is that as a teacher, I am always presented with a privilege to inspire, influence, guide, and assist in molding the next generation of leaders, thinkers, and change agents requirements, including statutory assessment requirements. I have used both formative and summative assessments to ensure students' progress, monitored progress by using relevant data, set targets, and planned further lessons. I also give students regular feedback, both oral and through accurate marking, and encourage them to engage with this feedback. What will also be needed is an understanding of the diverse needs of all learners: students with special educational needs, high-ability learners, English language learners, and students with disabilities. I hereby commit myself to the employment and evaluation of many different teaching strategies for engaging and supporting such learners. I also try to contribute to the life of the school and its ethos, developing effective professional relationships with colleagues and knowing when to seek advice and specialist support. This being an energetic French teacher, it inspires me to share the depth and beauty of this language with young learners this made the department of French education to post me to a school to serve as an intern which also was served as a semester course and my internship experience at Lawra senior high school significantly changed my teaching practices. It dawned on me that some students could not even comprehend a simple concept about French thus compelling me to find solutions to make this impossible again. I then created an engaging learning environment for my students, including using appropriate and accurate non -verbal,oral or sign and written communication, maintains positive rapport with students, respects diversity among students, relating lesson to prior knowledge and life experience, using other multimedia resources for good delivering of lessons and monitoring students participation and progress by using formative and summative assessment in evaluating learners . It was satisfying to see the pride and achievements of these students, who had a hard time during the initial part of the lesson. This experience has broadened my notion of flexibility and creativity in the classroom and further strengthened my resolve to make students masters of their learning, relate lesson to prior I think this concept adds to my consciousness regarding the nature of languages and how they can contribute to intercultural understanding. To me, learning French is not just obtaining a new language but rather a huge cultural heritage and a worldwide community into which entry is gained. I want to be able to become a passionate French teacher whose passion inspires language acquisition and intercultural understanding in the development of confident, inquisitive, and active international citizens. This journey through my career path and academics imparted me with different skills entailed in French teaching: from phonetics and literature studies to grammar, translation, etc. As a result of my experience in teaching and learning of French language, the national service authority posted me to Agona West Municipal assembly for my national service to serve the nation deligently and through that i became the secretary to the Municipal chief executive because of the diverse language i had in Portuguese,Spanish,German and French.
Language will always remind me of the way it could allow me to approach intercultural understanding and even global awareness more closely. Although learning a new language unlocks the key to a rich cultural heritage, it even leads to inclusion into a community from the rest of the world. With this said, the teacher herself has foreseen implanting them with an incandescent passion for life via the languages and intercultural understanding, and fostering confident, inquisitive, engaging global citizens in students. Of importance in my academic and professional journey is learning to master the skills of teaching French, involving phonetics, literature, grammar, translation, and not limited to only those areas.
My experiences, journey, and personal qualities include effective communication, patience, and passion for learning that make me ideal to inspire and educate the younger generation. It is always a priority that each student develops a love for learning to help them succeed academically as well as in life.
I am seeking this scholarship to add to my qualifications and give back more in the field of language education if I am allowed to further this training and gain more experience from what I have in the international country and be able to merge the two cultures for effective teaching. Your support in this regard will help me in becoming a compassionate and efficient educator who would contribute toward building future generations who are not only academically proficient in languages but also empathetic global citizens. I hope to hear from you
