I am an ethical and motivated undergraduate of social work with almost 1 year industrial experience. I have worked with children, families and other various groups of the society and I have managed to fully develop competent skills needed when working with people and communities experiencing problems. These skills include empathy, cultural competence, active listening, good communication, critical thinking, professional commitment and advocacy. Most of the service users I worked with, are the marginalized groups in the communities. I became competent enough in advocating for their rights and welfare as well as becoming their voice. I have past experience in working with community people who have diverse problems. I excelled very well in the area because I have good active listening skills. I make sure to take note of all the verbal and non-verbal cues that clients do. This helps to notice the significant harm that service users are going through and also create a good, friendly atmosphere with the people.
