Job Description
Planning, organizing, leading and controlling the implementation, maintenance and continual improvement of Integrated Management System.
Contractor management, coordination and supervision of all SHEQ matters including supervision of SHEQ Officers, contractor SHEQ Officers, SHEQ file approvals, site access control, SHEQ inductions, SHEQ audits and inspections etc.
Promoting and ensuring the health and safety of employees and stakeholders, environmental protection and continuous improvement processes to satisfy stakeholders and ensuring legal compliance.
Coordination and participation in internal and external meetings with management, employees, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients.
Developing and implementing SHEQ plans, emergency plans and procedures, preventive instructions, method statements, and standard operating procedures.
Conducting hazards and environmental aspects identification, risk and impacts assessment, analysis, profiling and control for projects (including baseline and issue-based risk assessments).
Compiling health and safety risks, environmental impacts and opportunities registers, and legal conformity or compliance obligations registers for projects.
Facilitating the development of SHEQ objectives and management programs to address significant impacts, risks and opportunities.
Monitoring of compliance to rules and other national and international applicable normative documents.
Conducting workplace SHEQ monitoring through periodic site inspections, audits, surveys, measurements, & checking any article, substance, plant, machinery or health & safety equipment on site.
Developing and implementing waste management plans/programs for projects.
Advising management on the existence of any potential or actual danger to the environment or health and safety of employees and facilitating the implementation of reasonably practicable control measures.
Checking that employees work in a manner with the protective devices, clothing, measures and procedures which ensures the protection of their health and safety.
Monitoring the application and reviewing the effectiveness of environmental health and safety measures.
Promoting a positive health and safety culture within organizations through behavior-based safety interventions.
