Although there were points in time where attendance was spotty, I maintained honor roll status and graduated with a 3.7 GPA. I was also involved with the schools feminism & criminal justice clubs. Through an AVID class ( course for college readiness ) I obtained over 170 community service hours volunteering at the Aurora House Foundation attending to the needs of people placed in hospice.
Texas A&M University, Kingsville
August 2021 - May 2022
Attended the full first year working towards a Bachelor’s Degree in animal science but had to return home to care for my sick father. While on campus I was the assigned handler/ nutritionist of one of their farm animals. I also assisted R.A’s in dorm building with situations regarding other students and housing. In my time spent out of school my career plan has changed and I will be attending STC in the spring to earn a Bachelor’s Degree in science nursing and receive a registered nursing certificate.
