As a first line supervisor, some of the actions I have performed are as listed: assisting With the DPL’s with the Zone Manager, and APS, Performing numerous job certifications on Nuclear TWD’s per the requirements of QCB-1, Project C-1, Processes such as #1 the Verification of component ID # 21 nuclear test equipment Installation and Removal, XV-C-3, and XV-C-6, during the planning phases of a the project, I have planned and executed jobs Through the pre-planning, risk mitigation, and assessments. As a supervisor I assign work, and Oversight the mechanic’s on the job sight, Problem solve any issues that happen while Performing work, have interfaced with other trades ( 2340, C-139, Code 105.) Less than 25,000 Controls drape and catch controls, connecting contaminated systems. I conducted a receiver Catch brief and installed LPRCT (low pressure resin catch tank) in the dry dock, I provided oversight for the mechanic’s, placing the off hull facility (Pump-skid, filter drum, Catch Tank, and the RLW tank). In the dry dock Basin, and the attaching the discharge hose to the hull connection, CD-4 hose.

I was asked to go accompany the ship and supervise work during Hot-operational testing and Time constraint work, at the Naval Station Norfolk, just prior to the deploying out to sea. I played a key, roll in helping SSN-725 Helen Undocking two days early, I received a Individual cash award for delivering a successful project. Work

Nuclear Lead Pipe Fitter I (NUC) (This is a federal job) Duties, Accomplishments and Related Skills:

I have been designated to direct the effort of Junior nuclear pipefitter mechanics working on the dual media discharge (DMD) on the USS Alaska, USS Rhode Island, USS Wyoming, and recently on the USS Albany, USS Tennessee. My duties include performing off-hull and in-hull work on the Ion exchanger, CD-4, Connections, Hull Adapter, and Discharge hose, RLW tank, I have supervised and coordinated the routine fabrication, stage, and repair, connect and disconnect numerous piece of Nuclear Test Equipment,(valves, gages, poly bottles, etc.) fill flange for pouring the resin beads at the Ion Exchanger In-let, Coolant Purification 9 and 12(CP-9),(CP-12),Coolant Sampling 5,8,and 17,Reactor Air 8 and 47,Back-flush rig, and the Media Vessel. As a Senior Mechanic, I have Lead and coordinated the activities of works engaged in radiological jobs as a contamination worker as a Drape CSCA / Catch worker and Glove bag worker on jobs where greater than 1,000,000uuci/100cm2 control, the CD-4 Discharge Adapter to the Discharge hose, and the Discharge hose to the LPRCT Tank, and Disconnected the Discharge hose from the Filter Drum, and Connected the Discharge hose to the RLW Tank. that require me to be knowledgeable of radiological, stay time, fixed and loose surface contamination, and how to minimize the spread of contamination, maintaining the radiation level in the area I perform work in as low as reasonably achievable (ALARA) I also maintain (FME) practices thru-out the work process. To comply with the TWD, MPM chapters, and shop Processes. I have written DLs and DRs as necessary to get engineering clarification on all work. I am thoroughly familiar with all shop 56 Processes, (i.e..proper system ID, Test Prepping, Nuclear test equipment installation / removal etc.) Located on the share drive. I have extensive knowledge of the pipefitter trade. I am a qualified Pump-skid operator and a back-up RLW tank watch operator during the Off-hull discharge evolutions. I have successfully completed all Mock-up and Dry-Run Familiarization training.

Duties, Accomplishments and Related Skills:

While assigned as Repair Division Supervisor, for (15 years) my duties and responsibly included management and supervision of two work centers ( 18 technical Craftsmen), performing diverse installation, repair and maintenance of all ship board valves piping, plumbing systems, hull structures and Propulsion plant, pumps,steam generators and associated components. Conducted surveillances to insure all facets of work performed meeting government quality standards.
