• Certified in the following: Industrial Instrumentation, basic electricity, basic electronics, variable frequency drives, motor controls, programmable logic controllers, temperature and flow, generators/motor/transformer operation, pressure and level measurement, analytical measurement, final elements, controllers, process control and analog/digital control systems.

• Flow measuring and control--work in shop and field on repair, adjustment, calibration, and inspection of flow measuring and control instruments. Mechanical and electrical devices--variable orifice-fixed orifice-volumetric, computation of flow data, flow of solids in suspension.

• Attention to detail: adept at reading electrical schematics, understand drawings and schematics, including electrical one-line diagrams, ladder logic diagrams, instrument loop drawings, ability to comprehend, use and follow employer’s standard operating procedures, policies and direct workload (as appropriate), apply instructions to task at hand and use oral or written communication techniques

• Competent in the operation and response(s) required during normal, abnormal, and emergency operations as well as environmental concerns and will apply the proactive approach in prevention/mitigation of any spill or release. And apply solid working knowledge and experience to solve moderate to complex problems without supervision

• Information Management--proficient computer skills

• Instrument Shop--troubleshooting and special applications, general shop and field troubleshooting with instrument mechanics, inspect, adjust, repair, and calibrate miscellaneous control and recording instruments. Work on special controls, special applications; and build and maintain panel installations. Maintain safe and reliable operations by performing installation, inspection calibration, configuration, maintenance, diagnostics, associated documentation, technical support, and training.
