Pittsburg State University, Social Work Field Director August 2007 – July 2023

Taught social work courses in the study of Older Adults, Health Care and Social Work, Child Welfare, and prepared seniors for their Practicums along with setting up and monitoring all practicums.

Medical Social Work, Mercy Hospital, Fort Scott, KS. Social Worker for Physical Rehabilitation Unit and assisted with Discharge Planning. Assessed all patients entering into rehab. Completed safety analysis on patient’s homes and/or assisted in setting up other arrangements if home was not an option.

Four County Dialysis Unit – Social Worker for Out-Patient Dialysis services. Served two locations, Fort Scott, KS and Joplin, Mo. Worked with patients and families getting new patients signed up for SSI, Medicare, planned dialysis sites for family vacations, and any other needed services.
