all the paraprofessionals in the
district to equip them with basic
knowledge on how to teach and
handle young children.
In 2014, I managed to train the
teachers, parents and all the
stakeholders on child abuse
awareness, signs, and symptoms
and how to handle such cases.
- In 2015, I managed to train
private centre owners on how to
do the registration processes of
their centres. I also trained the
teachers from private centres on
how to set conducive and safe
learning environments for
children.
In 2016, I managed to do training
on toy production using locally
available resources.
In 2017, I managed to co-
ordinate and train ECD teachers
and supervisors on an Early
Reading Initiative Programme.
The programme was very
successful it changed positively
the teaching of reading in the
district.
-In 2018, I managed to train the
teachers on the use of new
technology in the teaching and
learning process.

- In 2019, I managed to train
teachers on how to construct age
appropriate and safe outdoor
play centre equipment. With the
help from UNICEF, I managed to
construct outdoor play centres in
almost three quarters of the
schools in the district.
In 2021, I managed to do an
online training with teachers on
how they can make use of online
learning to teach young children,
and mechanisms to cope up with
the covid pandemic situation.

gadgets to facilitate learning.
