RESPONSIBILITIES
Assisted the clinicians in ensuring smooth implementation of ART service delivery within the hospital by providing free HIV/AIDS services: HIV prevention and treatment.
Ensured that all HIV positive clients were initiated on appropriate ART according to national guidelines while observing SOPs.
Ensured that all HIV positive patients currently on treatment are screened for TB.
Ensured psychological care is given to patients that are tested HIV positive.
Assessed in providing antenatal and postnatal advice, care and support to women their babies and partners.
Advising and supporting HIV positive mothers in the daily care of their infants.
To assist women in all stages of pregnancy, child birth and child delivery following national guidelines and protocols including EMTCT.
Ensured that all patients receiving ART treatment have an ART monitoring chat that is updated after each visit.
