EXPERIENCE

CASHIER • ACADEMY SPORTS & OUTDOORS • JUNE 2017-SEPTEMBER 2018

As a cashier it was my job to not only cash customers out, but to help them with any problems that they had in the store and look for the best solution for them. In the time that I worked at Academy, I was promoted to a customer service cashier where I assisted customers in any problems that they had with items they had previously purchased. I worked closely with the managers to ensure that the customers had the best experience with our products possible.

TUTOR • EDINBURG CISD • AUGUST 2018-MARCH 2020

As a tutor I worked with children ages 11-13 at Barrientes middle school. This was a challenging experience for me, because being a younger person amongst many students, they looked up to me as a role model. My job did not end at helping them with their homework or preparing them for exams. These kids came to me with their problems and issues at home and school and I always helped them to the best of my ability. This job did however allow me to pass on my knowledge of science and math to these bright young kids.

SERVER • TEXAS ROADHOUSE • JUNE 2020-PRESENT

As a server I have gained a great deal of people skills. This job has taught me how to deal with people who weren’t having the best day and make them happy even when circumstances didn’t seem too good. I have gained a lot of patience in my experience and will be able to utilize this in my career.
