· Lead design efforts for a 750-watt, 7.9 kHz Inverter for the US Navy Tridentate D5 LE fleet ballistic nuclear missile.

· Provided design, layout, and test of a High Reliability (91% efficient) and less than 25 mV PARD,225 Watt, 48V/28.2V, 200 kHz clamped Reset Forward converter with PCM for a high efficiency EDGE GSM EDGE Base Station radio in a -20C to 70C environment. · Returned on temporary basis to assist the management of the transition of Lucent Power to Tyco.

· Proposed as a new product, the novel SC1144AB Multiphase PWM IC that transformed the industry supporting Pentium and Athlon processors with a client base that included Compaq, 3dFx, Dell, AMD, IBM, and others in the central region USA. ATT LUCENT BELL LABS, FIELD APPLICATIONS ENGINEER

· Defined products for the EDPA Enhanced Distributed Power Architecture. Promoted to Field Applications Engineer to support National accounts e.g. Motorola, IBM, and EMC2 accounts. IBM CORPORATION, STAFF ENGINEER

· Designed and tested power supplies/systems for IBM products. 5

PUBLICATIONS & PROFESSIONAL GROWTH

· Research Paper on “Ferro resonance” voted best paper in Engineering at IBM RTP in 1986. State plane analysis with an IBM PC Junior running compiled BASIC solved a system of linear differential equations used to model non- linear phenomena. The paper was published in the IBM Journal of Research and Development due to its significant advancement of non-linear system modeling.

· Proposed and developed first multiphase buck converter PWM IC, the SC1144AB, in 1998 at Semtech. This novel approach was quickly adopted by Intel and AMD, fueled a tenfold increase in Semtech market value, and became the de facto standard topology for Pentium and Athlon processors.

· Selected by IBM Germany to serve as technical consultant to develop European power sources for switch mode converters

· Various technical papers published in IEEE and PowerTechnics on capacitor lifetime, calculating ripple currents and measurements techniques, loop gain and other power electronics topics.

· Established myself after 9/11 via contracting as an Aerospace Power Engineer to broaden my technical base from Telecom and computing
