Attend delivery cases (cesarean) in the Operating Room and normal vaginal delivery in labor and delivery room.

Establish priorities of care, nursing actions and desired outcomes in a timely manner.

Check Vital signs and report concerns to the physician.

Chart the patient’s progress, noting the growth and progress of each newborn. Note also health concerns, symptoms changes, health improvements and family concerns.

Monitor v/s, monitor IV sites and lines, and oxygenation

Perform special procedures on diagnostic or therapeutic such as blood collection, arterial or venous blood gas, IV insertion, NGT/OGT insertion, Gastric lavage and gavage.

Use and apply devices such as ECG, Cardiac machine/ monitor, Pulse Oximeter, Infusion and syringe pump, Bubble Cpap, SIPAP, Mechanical Ventilator, Optiflow.

Assist in doing X-Rays, echo etc

Administer Blood and Blood products.

Administer medication thru per orem, ngt/ ogt, IV, IM, Subcutaneous, ET.

Assist the ohysician in examining and performing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures such as ET insertion, mechanical ventilation, CPR, Chest tube insertion, central line insertion, UAC and UVC insertion, Lumbar puncture and PICC line insertion.

Monitoring patient on Photo therapy.

Performing New born Screening test and Hearing screening test.

Provide critical care to preterm and sick newborn pre and post-operative care of surgical patients.

Performs other duties as required.
