ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Preparation of Job Safety Analysis, Risk assessment.

Work permits verification for hot & cold jobs.

Tool box talk, Pre-job briefing for Safety Task Assignment.

Safety at Excavation, Installation of batching plant, Form Work for Construction erection, Concreting, Working at height, Installation at height, Safety of Steel Yard, Structure Fabrication Shop, Tank Farm, etc.

Heavy lifts for safe operation.

Safe & standard erection of scaffolds.

Traffic safety, onsite Emergency Plan Response (Mock Drills) etc.

Monitor PPE and ensure quality & availability of adequate stock in inventory.

Workplace monitoring and regular inspection of ongoing construction activities, mechanical jobs.

Management Safety Walk, Safety Committee Meetings, Weekly Progress Meetings.

Contractors’ approvals through Technical Bid Evaluation and Pre Questionnaires Queries.

Preparation of MIS report, Safety Performance Report weekly and Monthly, safety statistics reports.

Independent handling of construction site for Field Safe jobs.

Safety audits, inspections, Hazard Identification, safety management walk etc.

Putting observation in Action Tracking System, communication with line management.

Accident Investigation for facts & root cause findings, analysis & implementing recommendation of the same and sharing lessons

Promote safety culture by safety promotion activities.

To comply legal requirements for safety, Health & Environment.

Imparting general and job specific training to workers. Ventilation Planning, Designing, and implementation

Co-coordinating mining of airways

Ventilation Auditing and Reporting

Ventilation Ambient Conditions investigations, and monitoring

Monitoring of intake and return airways for air leakage and Continue review of Ventilation systems

Assist in Provision of a specialist strategic service and guidance in areas pertaining to Ventilation

Ensure and improve departmental outputs and deliverable

Ensure legislative compliance is maintained

Ensure Constant liaison with planning, survey and mining departments

Quarterly Ventilation MSD reports

Enhance mine personnel ventilation Capability

Train identified personnel within the ambit of Ventilation discipline

Introduce and review best practice systems in ventilation

Support ventilation training at Higher Institutions of learning / Universities

Improve Safety, Environment and Occupational Health performance

Investigate continuous monitoring tools and devices aimed at including for SHE components

Monitor the departments impact on the Environment

Forge a closer working liaison with SHEQ

Assist to conduct Ventilation Awareness campaigns to employees TRAININGS
