My wife and I just sold our Dairy Queen restaurant this month (after 13 years of ownership) and I’m way too young to retire! In addition to being of entrepreneurial spririt, I’ve also held managerial positions in the medical industry (as well as a few others). At one point, I was the business manager for a clinic of 130 physicians and 600+ employees. My experience covers all areas of management including human resources, accounting, marketing, payroll, controller, A/P, A/R, problem solving, team building, spreadsheet creation/maintenance, consulting, and counseling. My greatest strength is my social skills which have proven to be invaluable in many situations. I have a tremendous talent for ‘diffusing’ a bad situation, a discriminating and immense sense of humor to gain trust, an unstoppable optimist attitude, and verbal/written skills that have served me well in just about every aspect of my professional life. I was a combat paramedic in the US Army and National Guard and owned my first medical billing company when I was 28 years old. I played minor league football at age 33 (arena football) and my hobbies include chess, biking, weight lifting, and racquetball.
