Abilities: Having built in several different areas in and around Houston and in price ranges to over

$2m, I have acquired a knowledge of not only customer service on many different levels but an understanding of working in multiple cities with their unique requirements. Having worked on the south side of Houston in cities such as League City and Galveston, I have gained a knowledge of the windstorm requirements through both TDI and local engineers. Having owned a company the budgeting aspect is something I had to focus on along with overhead duties.

Employment: 10/17-09/22 Cityside Homes (downtown Houston and inside loop 610) Project Manager Overseeing the entire construction process including homeowner walkthrough, inspections and scheduling. Began using the Build Pro system over the last year. Homes prices from $300s - $900’s. Reason for leaving: company layoffs 07/2015-10/2017 Houston Hurricane and Security (Dickinson ) Project Manager Responsible for ordering, scheduling and quality control for windstorm protection products such as rolling shutters and security screens. Ensuring products were installed to meet TDI requirements. Reason for leaving: better opportunity and more money 01/2002-06/2015 Barco Custom Builders (Alvin) Owner / Operators Along with my partner we completed projects ranging from small remodels to additions to homes over $2m. locations from city of Houston going south to Galveston. As an owner/operator, duties including not only project management, but budgeting, overhead, taxes, insurance and marketing. Reason for leaving: partner personal issues 01/200*-**-**** David Powers Homes (League City) Subdivision Project Manager Responsible for the construction in the Victory Lakes neighborhood in League City. Total of 3 superintendents with a total of 15-20 homes at all times from the $300s - $800s. Reason for leaving: company going out of business

01/2002-12/2003 Design Tech Homes (south and east side of Houston) Area Manager

“Build on your Lot” builder and I had the area from Alvin around the east side of Houston to Dayton. Kept between 4-7 homes at all times. Aside from learning about building out of a traditional neighborhood I gained a great importance for organization and time management as my vehicle was my office. Reason for leaving: driving approx.. 200 miles per day gets tiring after 2 years

12/1993-01/2002 D.R. Horton Custom Homes ( south and southwest side of Houston) Began working as a trainee right out of school and worked my way up to being one of 4 Houston Area Managers. As a builder in Pasadena, League City, and Stafford then managing superintendents throughout those areas. At the time of my exit, there were 6 superintendents working under me in different communities while my role was overhead, budgets, sales contract approval, closing projections, and customer service issues. Reason for leaving : tired of working in traditional neighborhoods and needing a change

Graduated Dec. 1993. Bachelor of Business with a major in Finance General Info: My wife and I have been married for 26 years and we have two daughters that are in College currently. My wife is a 1st grade teacher in Santa Fe. I played football and Lacrosse at SFA and I feel that has contributed to my sense of teamwork and being able to work and get along with pretty much everyone.
