●Developed and managed an ACS Teen Enhancement Program (Administration for Children’s Services) for teens dually diagnosed with mental health and substance use challenges.
●Conducted two projects for Department of Mental Health: A Perinatal Mood Disorder & Depression Study called “The Baby Blues”, concluding that women of childbearing age in Central Harlem chose not to receive mental health services due to fear of being labeled crazy and having their children removed by ACS.
●The Baby Mamas’ Club was designed as a supportive social network for new moms to share concerns, experiences, and learn more about social services available in own neighborhoods. Members learned from each other and created own social networks.
