EDGAR VEGA

OBJECTIVE My mission and goal every time before going inn to work is to try to be the hardest working employee, a quality partner with my coworkers, and an individual one can count and rely on to my superiors and everyone else. I do my best and take pride in my work. I try to give all of my executed production its best possible outcome and give our customers what a full satisfaction in their spending.

SKILLS & ABILITIES I love to weld and grind steel that is my favorite thing to do. I could do either TIG or MIG welding in steel or stainless steel and have a lot of experience and enjoyment doing these things. I am AWS certified in TIG welding WPS- D1.3- GTAW- 1000 in tube to tube and sheet to sheet.

EXPERIENCE MIG WELDER, SCOTT ENGINEERING SOLUTIONS 11-11-20/ CURRENT

This job has by far been the most challenging, but satisfying job I have had. Perhaps it’s the fact that my manager didn’t hold back in expressing the way he felt about my welds, this is a job I found asked for a lot of quality and fines in everything we did, visible or not to the client, every weld needs to be executed to its best outcome. Here we build large cabinets and power supply rooms for the product the company offers. We are expected to read blue prints and work a measuring tape. It’s not too hard because ever since 2017 I have worked with a measuring tape being that, that’s the time I became a welder and fabricator, and started getting familiar with reading blue prints and building things accurately. Also to learn how to get over humps along the way by working with the engineers and people to guide me to get over hiccups and execute the job that was asked for us to accomplish. MIG WELDER, VELOX CNC

03-1-20/11-1-20

This was my second welding constructing job, but it was my first time welding MIG. I loved it, got the hang of it pretty fast since I was already great at doing TIG welding. I got along and enjoyed all of my co-workers and I believe they enjoyed me as well. Saddened that we had to close down due to low sales of CNC machines that we made. BENCHER, ASCENT AEROSPACE

07-19-19/ 10-14-20

I learned how to grind off machine marks off of huge molds that would construct things like airplane wings, body frame, and pretty much the whole plane frame. I learned how to be careful with different tools like sanders and grinders and even DA’s because most tools were Page 2

low tolerance and didn’t have too much material to sand off. Also learned how to give different finishes and tones to the steel as a finish before it was sent out to the customer. TIG WELDER, TERRA UNIVERSAL

05-05-17/ 7-16-19

This was my introduction to the steel fabrication labor. I started off by being a sandblaster for maybe 4 months, when they gave me an opportunity to become a welder for the company. I loved it and was amazed by the whole process, and what it came with, which included, cutting, grinding, drilling, measuring, and coming up with ideas and solutions to complications that would come up when constructing a given assignment. EDUCATION COLUMBIA COLLEGE- LOS ALAMITOS, CA- ASSOCIATE IN GENERAL EDUCATION Learned how to be responsible and attentive in order to succeed, and a lot more things like some computer office stuff, general math, some human service work, speech, and how to interact with others at a proficient level.

GARDEN GROVE HIGH SCHOOL- GARDEN GROVE, CA- G.E.D

I enjoyed high school. Wasn’t as mature or awake to of have put in the effort and taken the opportunity to try to get a free ride at some school, but glad to appreciate my opportunities now.

COMMUNICATION Obedience and communication is key to learning and succeeding in a job and to carry out a given order adequately given to me by those leading me. Miscommunication can lead to a lot mistakes and loss of time which could not only cause a setbacks, but a loss in revenue to the company. Good communication could help avoid a lot of those mistakes and keep the company moving forward.

LEADERSHIP When I am given the opportunity to lead a project, I try to do my best and be completely attentive and responsible about the task at hand. I enjoy to please my employer, it makes me sleep better at night knowing my employer is happy with my work. It makes me feel at ease and makes me want to work better and harder, to give it my all each and every day, and be happy to do so, REFERENCES RON LIBBON
