The McIlhenny Company
Primary role started as a buyer in the procurement department. I am responsible for the budget and purchasing of all items coming into the McIlhenny facility. In charge of purchasing ingredients, bottles, labels, cartons and support materials. Tasked with finding ways to improve the budget and cut cost that affect the company’s overall performance. Established new vendor relationships, searched for new ways to improve department processes and help the department become more efficient.
Took on an additional role as Safety Coordinator after the first year. Became responsible for training, auditing, certifying and improving all aspects of the safety program at the McIlhenny Company. The McIlhenny Company experienced a full year in 2018 without experiencing a Recordable Incident. For the next two years, the factory employees were fully trained and certified. Established a Safety Committee that was tasked with improving the safety of the factory. Led the committee in small groups to try and establish a safety culture.
