Con Met is a tier 1 class 8-truck supplier market leader for truck parts. The Canton plant has 585 employees with a sales of $420 million and the leader of there market for interior truck parts.

Quality Manager

Key responsibility for QMS throughout the organization to include 4 plants 8 Quality Engineers, 24 Quality Technicians, and 26 Quality Liaisons embedded at our customer.

• Supplier of the year to Volvo heavy truck 2011.

• Passed TS16949 audit with zero findings Feb 2013.

• Plant PPM is 49 with 4 of our 7 customers at zero. Plant has seen a steady decline in PPM in the past year.

• Implemented layered audit system with accountability built in. Implemented Hold Tag system for accountability and traceability.

• Launched 60 million in new business with PACCAR to include over 300 new part numbers 70 new tools 175 PPAP, 65 AAR, 56 SRDC. 45 Capability Study with full CMM Layout on all.

Operations Manager

Key responsibility for all manufacturing including 26 injection mold machines, 5 assembly lines, a robotic paint line, and hydrographic line. Oversee maintenance and engineering for a plant of 16 supervisors, 3 managers, and 365 hourly employees. Added 60 million in business over 15 months.

Transferred interior cabinet line from #1 competitor with zero impact to the customer. Move added $8 million in sales. Operating for 18 months with 0 PPM to Volvo.

Relocated interior line from Findley industries for Navistar truck within 5 weeks while avoiding disruption to production. Netted $15 million in sales and dissolved 20-year barrier with Navistar.

Led company from PPM of 25000 to 51 for customers Freightliner, Volvo, Paccar, Navistar, Mack. Achieved through implementing new quality system for operations with strict accountability.


The Borg Warner Fletcher plant is a tier 1 supplier for automotive cooling systems with 450 employees and $112 million in plant sales annually.

Product Line Leader

Oversaw 9 supervisors and 145 hourly employees across 3 shifts. Scope of responsibility included all operations and maintenance for product line comprised of Ford, Chrysler, GM, John Deer, and Nissan.

Led lean event that decreased down time by 40% and slashed headcount by 35%. Decreased change-over time part-to-part by 75%. Resulted in cost savings of $1.2 million per year.

Created visual inventory system for all WIP components that reduced change-over and inventory. Saved $750,000 annually.

Set up a cellular manufacturing cell with 12 CNC turning centers that reduced headcount and 2500 square feet of floor space. Yielded savings of $525,000 per year.

Supervised 55 employees on a single shift. Held responsibility for 100 CNC machines producing aluminum and steel and 3 assembly lines that produced cooling systems for automotives.

Spearheaded project to eliminate bottle neck in process to hard-turn steel instead of O.D. grinding using sumaboron tooling in a CNC lathe.
