Sending samples to a lab and writing a Supplemental report of the findings

Property and Evidence Coordinator Duties:
Maintaining property and evidence room, as well as essential equipment.
Purchasing and inventory control of required supplies.
Release of property to rightful parties.
Submission of crucial evidence to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE)
Fulfill evidentiary requests for State attorney’s Office (SAO), Public Defender’s Office (PDO), and private attorneys.
Receives, stores/files property/evidence, and audio tapes; retrieves same from storage area as needed; secures currency in safe.
Prepares property receipts; enters into a computer database; insures property/evidence is properly packaged and sealed.
Attempts to determine owners of the property.
Provides advice and assistance to law enforcement officers in collecting and packaging property/evidence; conducts ongoing dialog and follow-up with officers and other interested parties regarding property/evidence.
Transports property/evidence for testing or processing; ensures custody and disposition are per federal and state laws and regulations.
Monitors supplies inventory; orders supplies and materials as needed.
Organizes and implements a lost/abandoned bicycle donation program.
Attends seminars, classes, and field trips to other agencies to maintain or improve technical or professional skills.
Body Worn, Dash Camera, and the interior Department Camera Systems and Operations:
Assists officers with video and audio recordings pertinent to their respective cases.
