• Manages the financial operations of Ghana Institute of Linguistics, literacy and Bible Translation (GILLBT), supervising a staff of Senior Finance officer, Two Finance officers and an intern in the finance department.

• Ensures that Senior Finance officer update Chart of Accounts and Create the necessary account items in the Financial Management System after obtaining the appropriate approvals from my office.

• Supervises Senior Finance officer in managing payroll and staff receivables.

• Ensures that all statutory requirements are met and on time (Compliance)

• Works with department heads and project managers to review and maintain quarterly and annual budgets and develop financial forecasts based upon future workflow projections.

• Manages the mobilization efforts of the institute. Supervise Two Church engagement and Fundraising Manager, a communication manager, graphic designer, Church engagement and donor relations officer, Administrative officer and Two Church Engagement officers in the Advancement/Mobilization Department.

• Mobilized approximately GHC3million in our local mobilization effort from 2017 and 2020 fiscal year.

• Lead the mobilization team in organizing two fund raising activities and Two GILLBT day of prayer, which led to recruiting over 2,000 Ghanaian Christians into the GILLBT donor management system.

• Monitor project expenditures against budgets, review related documentation for completeness and accuracy, and investigate major variances. Collecting the necessary documentation from the field to enable me provide consistently and promptly compliance with project reporting guidelines. Report findings to Field Operations Managers and translation project partners.

• Monitor project cash flow and budgeted requirements. Schedule transfers with Field Operations Managers, and request transfer of funds to projects. Coordinate fund transfers with Field Operations Managers and Accounting staff.

• Communicate with Field Operations Managers to resolve issues related to project expense detail. Work with project partner representatives as needed to ensure that all parties maintain common understanding of project reporting requirements.

Associate Director for Finance and Administration November 2011 – October 2016

• Led the finance team in the development and successful implementation of the Controls and Procedures manual of the institute;

• Led the administration team in all matters relating to General Human resources i.e. Recruitment, Managing Administrative staff, Dealing with all Payroll issues, Annual Leave Administration, Retirements and Resignations;

• Coordinated and prepared organisation-wide budgets and monitored and controlled to ensure that both income and expenditure are within budget, if not, provide explanations for variances;

• Ensured that all assets of the institute are properly secured and managed using an up-to-date Assets Register and also insured where appropriate;

• Established sound cash management systems and procedures for the operations (e.g. Income Generation Units) of the institute;

• Prepared medium and long-term plans and Annual Budgets for the institute and ensuring adherence to same.
