Security Specialist/Security Forces

As a Security Forces member my primary mission is to protect federal/military property from hazards such as sabotage, espionage, trespass, theft, fire and accidental or willful damage and destruction. Knowledge of Federal; State, military, local laws, codes and regulation. Enforce Federal and State laws. Apprehend and detain violators of laws, rules and regulations and turn them over to Federal, local police or other law enforcement officers. Interact with members of the public to determine their involvement in incidents to include interviewing, advising them of their rights, obtaining statements, and detaining or apprehending violators. Knowledge of Air Force security response requirements. Stops violators, notifies them of the traffic offense committed, and issues Armed Forces Ticket (1408). Perform vehicle and pedestrian searches. Search and log all commercial vehicles entering Air Force Base.
