Duties and Responsibilities:

Pre-Inspection Meeting at the beginning of the inspection activities with Subcontractor/Vendor representatives for understanding QA/QC requirements.

Witnessing Procedure Qualification Test (PQT).

Raw material inspection- Pipes & Tubes, fittings, flanges/ Welding Consumables/Abrasives/ Epoxy Paints. Inspection Engineer- Multi Discipline _ Ahammed Shafiq K Page 2 of 4

Review of final documentation / Dossier & Release of spools to site.

Witnessing shell test and seat test for the below mentioned valves as per Approved ITP

• Gate valves

• Globe valves

Review project procedures and specifications.

Review of ITP, WPS/PQR, PWHT & Hardness Test Procedure, NDE Procedures-RT/MT/UT/PT, Positive Material Identification/Welding consumable Control/Pickling & Passivation Procedures.

Verifying piping material identity (pipe, valves and fittings) and its conformance to the installation drawings.

Verifying that welding inspection has been performed and joints have been released with NDE, PWHT, Hardness testing as per project specification.

Verification that dimensions and alignment tolerances of the piping systems are as per constructs specifications.

RT film interpretation and RT reports review for welded Butt joints.

Witnessing DPT, PAUT, MT on the welded Butt joints.

Carried out surveillance during PWHT of Alloy Spools and review of PWHT report.

In-process surveillance to verify compliance with specified piping erection procedure including Pipe internal cleaning, flange alignments, torqueing etc.

Performing piping walk down inspection and completing punch lists. Verifying that punch list items have been dealt with in accordance with the contractual arrangements.

Reviewing and verifying completeness of piping test packages (hydro or pneumatic) prior to testing, verify test limits in P & ID matching with field.

Witnessing Pressure test- Hydro and Pneumatic as per Test package for both Piping and Pipelines. Further Accepting/ Rejecting based on result.

Witnessing Water draining, Flushing, Air blowing after testing.

Surface preparation checks after blasting- Degree of Roughness (Surface Profile) using surface replica (Testex) Press-O-Film Technique on blasted surface & Degree of Cleanliness (Visual assessment) as per blast cleaned standards.

Witnessed Dust level check & Salt contamination test for soluble salts on blasted area.

Verifying the batch certificates of Paints.

Witnessed Final Coat inspection- DFT check, Visual Check, Holiday test (Spark Test) on the Epoxy coated Surfaces.

Handled shutdown QC activities as per approved ITP and procedure at ASAB and BU HASA CDS March 2015 to May 2020

Duties and Responsibilities:

Performing Inspection activities on Pressure vessels, CRA Clad and CRA Steel Piping.

Monitoring of Welding activities that include compliance with qualified and approved welding procedures and verification of deployment of qualified welders.

Performing NDT Co-ordination, Monitoring &Evaluation of Heat Induction Bends

Inspection at various stages of Piping that include; as per approved ITP,

Material identification, Edge preparation, Fit – up and Orientation of Piping, Welding.

Verification of electrodes, Filler wire and other consumables. Ensure the

proper storage and handling of welding consumables to approved procedures.

Visual Inspection of Welds prior to NDT.

Schedule the welds for RT after clearing visual inspection.
