Responsibilities as a Safety Officer:

Monitoring and assessing hazardous and unsafe practices and situations.

Ensure the health and safety concerns of the workers, management and personal safety.

Point out all the unsafe practices, conditions, hazards, risks and try to work on it.

Point out any additional control measures and try to make it good by myself or report them to the management if the situation demands.

Eliminate or reduce the chances of the occurrences of any accident or ill-health.

Motivate the workers to follow the prescribed health and safety codes and practices.

Motivate the workers to ensure the health and safety concerns of theirselves and of their co- workers, upon which their families are dependent.

Conduct regular toolbox talks prior to starting of work.

Record and investigate the accident to determine the causes.
