DIRECTOR, TECHNOLOGY TRAINING, ANNE ARUNDEL COMMUNITY COLLEGE I was responsible for managing and directing the continuing education program for Technology Training. My goal was to provide an exceptional learning experience to our students and to provide the most up to date and most effective training, so that students will be able to increase productivity on their jobs and to possibly land new opportunities and/or a promotion! My team was responsible for working with the experts in the IT field to design and develop high quality course for our students. We also researched the industry to stay abreast of the most up to date courses in the field and offered them accordingly. We worked closely with the college operational staff and marketing to develop course schedules for Spring, Summer, Fall and Winter Semester. We interviewed and hired adjunct faculty to assist in the design and development of our courses and to teach our courses in both the traditional classroom and online.
I also worked closely with vendors, infinity work groups, area businesses the community and other departments within the college to ensure that we were offering courses that was a necessity for our community. I anticipated courses required for future semesters and developed the 5-year plans accordingly. I also worked with marketing and areas businesses to do market research to help plan for future course and budgetary requirements.
