Acute Care RN Duties were to perform dialysis by removing (waste, excess water, and balance electrolytes) for acute patients, many of whom have multiple

co-morbidities (Diabetes, Hypertension, Coronary Artery Disease,) that complicates their treatments. Necessary skills included a high degree of critical thinking with advance skills in monitoring of vital signs, shifting of Intracellular, and Extracellular fluids; excellence in accessing ports (Fistulas, Grafts, Dialysis, and Power-ports).

11/2016 to 07/2019, LifeSouth Blood Centers,

Apheresis RN Performed Plasma Pheresis on patients presenting with Neurologic, Rheumatologic, Autoimmune, and Inflammatory disorders. I operated an Apheresis machine (Optia) to remove diseased antibodies and simultaneously

replace them with needed components (Plasma, White & Red Blood Cells, Clotting Factors) to enhance and improve the patient’s prognosis while managing their disease.

01/2016 to 11/2016 Bioscrip Pharmaceuticals

Home Infusion RN Provided in home infusion therapy and training to patients and their families. Duties included accessing ports, initiating infusions, and monitoring vital signs throughout treatments. Placed IV’s, administered injections, IVIG, changed dressings and drew blood. Setup and educated patient and families on Feeding Pumps and other self-infusing devices that administered lifesaving vasoactive drugs.

ER Travel RN As an emergency room nurse, I assessed all emergencies based on a 5-tier triage system. Provided immediate care to emergent patients and sought care based on severity of symptoms. Re-evaluated patients waiting to be seen.

Provided care for minor and major injuries (lacerations/fractures, and broken bones), with immediate attention to (Heart attacks, Strokes, Diabetic crisis, Drug Overdose, active Bleeding, AMS and Psych). Emergency Room Nurse Triaged patients according to a 5-tier system, placed intravenous lines, administered medications and assisted with the care of patients of all ages. Assisted with Conscious Sedation and Code Blues as needed.
