WorkResponsibilities :

Provide the leadership necessary to contribute towards an effective Safety organization.

The main aims being to create Safe, Healthy & Environmentally acceptable working conditions throughout the site ensuring that.

A)Requirements of company’s Health, Safety, & Environment policy are being effectively applied.

B)The Health & Safety legislation, construction regulations applicable to the project are being compiled.

Participate in and assist the Incident Investigation Team to investigate the status and cause of any incidents (including high-potential near-misses) and establish measures to prevent similar incidents.

Initiate a Weekly HSE Meeting attended by the Client's HSE Manager, and HSE Staff, and the Subcontractors' Project Managers and HSE Representatives.

Review the "Daily HSE Report" and "Instructions for Corrective Action" prepared by the HSE Supervisors.

Report daily to the General Manager and Management on major HSE activities and topics, and prepare a "Monthly HSE Report" and an "Industrial Accident Status Report" to review and use for his own report to the Management and Client.

Institute proper investigation of incidents and submit accident reports to the Client and Management. Promote action to preclude recurrence and initiate analysis to discover incident trends.

Continuously evaluate project working conditions and safe work practices, and if warranted, developing corrective action recommendations for project management.

Monitoring the behavior of the people and provide coaching the attitude and behavior, which positively reinforces working safely and instills "think before acting " and "value of human life".

Audit effectiveness of the Weekly Employees Safety Meeting and the daily pre-task tool box talks.

Prepare or arrange preparation for his approval a talking points bulletin that will be used at the Weekly Employees Safety Meeting. This bulletin shall include but not limited to, current injury statistics, review of recent incidents, emergency procedures, recognition of individuals and the like.
