● Phlebotomist ~ Extracting blood from patients through venipuncture. Analyzing blood specimens using the correct testing equipment.. Preparing specimens for transportation, including labeling vials accurately and matching blood specimens to patients.
LAMD Urgent Care & Medical Group, Woodside,NY (October 2017- Present)
● As a medical assistant, I prepare patients before drawing blood. Explaining blood draw procedures to patients and answering any questions about the process;to the blood draws. I was assigned to take patients’ vitals, EKG, phlebotomy/blood collection, input new patients, paperwork, answer telephone, and doctor assistant with minor surgeries.
● Ensures exam rooms and treatment areas are cleaned after each patient leaves and prepared for the next patient.
● Assist with maintaining patient flow to and from exam rooms and treatment areas. Stocks exam room/treatment rooms with medical supplies
● Assisted with Pap smear: During the process used a tool called a spatula and a brush. During the process, the sample of cells from the woman's cervix will be preserved and sent to a lab to be tested for the presence of abnormal cells.
Became medical office management in February 2019 in LAMD Medical Group
*Responsible for managing the flow of the office creating processes and systems to enhance company operations. I have to have great communication with patients and my other coworkers.
* Processing and filing invoices, and answering questions from customers or clients. Train new coworkers and give people time to understand the way how things are done.
